In addition to the projects below, I also regularly stream concerts and lectures from The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. When we’re streaming you can find these online at www.ChamberMusicSociety.org/livestream or on the CMS iPhone and Android apps.

The next live event is a Late Night Rose concert featuring music by Tchaikovsky on Thursday, December 1 at 9:30 PM EST.

CMS Artist Profile: Jessica Lee

Jessica is currently in her final year as a member of the CMS Two residency program for emerging chamber musicians. In the past CMS has done written artist profiles as a part of its monthly newsletter—with Jessica, we decided to experiment with a video version. I’m happy to say the final product is a success and hope we can coordinate with more CMS artists to create video profiles.

CMS QR Code Landing Page

Part of the 2011-12 CMS season advertising campaign included subway and telephone kiosk ads around the city. As an experiment, we included a QR code on all of the ads, and this was the landing page for that code. I used this as an opportunity to test out jQuery Mobile since most visits would be coming from phones, and then used media queries to modify the page for anyone viewing it on a device with a larger screen. The desktop solution is hacky and I would do it differently in the future, but it turned out well for this campaign.

richardgammondirector.com

Richard is a soon-to-be well-known stage director. He was amazing to work with and was enthusiastic to go with a less traditional layout. His website is a single page that scrolls (with the help of some Javascript) between sections when the navigation buttons are clicked.

It has a fun feel and I couldn’t be happier with the end product.

CMS Interview: Adele Anthony & Gil Shaham

Gil and Adele are an amazing couple. They are each world-class performers in their own right, and CMS was fortunate enough to get them both for Opening Night 2010.

The Possibility Project Newsletter

I’ve got some friends that work for this amazing youth development nonprofit called The Possibility Project. They do great things. They had just changed the name of the organization from City at Peace, and needed an email newsletter template to match their new identity. Check out the final product.

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center Newsletter

As part of my duties at The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, I am responsible for the email marketing efforts. At the beginning of the 2010-2011 CMS season, I redesigned the email newsletter with a much cleaner look and feel.

thefuturecaseys.com

In the interest of full disclosure, this is the website I made for my wedding. My friend Mike designed our wedding invitations with these great illustrations, so the difficult part was out of the way. Once the site was setup I wouldn’t need to update it much, so I hand-coded the entire site instead of building it on a content management system like Wordpress.

With a mix of HTML, CSS, and Javascript, I think the resulting website is a lot of fun.

CMS Interview: Sasha Cooke

I’m always excited to try out new things and this video was a chance to learn the basics of web video.

There couldn’t have been a better person to interview than Sasha. She is an amazingly gracious person and told some great stories. The content was so good, I ended up making three videos instead of just one.

sospirowinds.com

The Sospiro Winds are an up-and-coming wind quintet based out of New York City. Adrian, the ensemble’s bassoonist, asked for a website that was easy to update and emulated the vibe of the ensemble. So I built it on Wordpress and gave it a darker, edgier theme that made use of several amazing photos of the ensemble taken by Peter Wang of Mozar Photography.

My favorite page is the Listen page. It’s a simple layout that really highlights one of those great photos.

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center Presents: Night Fantasies

In the fall of 2008, The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center had a 4 concert festival of (mostly) 20th century compositions. They wanted to create a mini-site that featured a great video that was made for the festival, and to give the 4 concerts a different feel than their main website, www.chambermusicsociety.org.

The Night Fantasies mini-site was part of a coordinated marketing campaign that included an invitation that was mailed to thousands of households in the NYC metro area. (Unfortunately, the mini-site is no longer available online.)
